Skagit County is perhaps best known throughout the world for it's rich, fertile farmland and amazing production of tulips.  Anacortes is located on beautiful Fidalgo Island, referred to by many as the gateway to the San Juans.  Whether you're an avid boater (we have several marinas), enjoy perusing specialty shops, or just love the outdoors, opportunities abound for all.  Worried about the weather?  Don't be.  Did you know Anacortes receives twelve inches less rain per year than Seattle? Anacortes features several wonderful restaurants, desirable schools and healthcare facilities, an incredible library and a wonderful arts program/community.
